World CIO 200 Summit Qatar 2026

The Qatar edition of the World CIO 200 Summit 2026, held at Andaz Doha, Qatar, on 17 June 2026, concluded successfully, bringing together the nation’s most influential CIOs, technology leaders, cybersecurity experts, digital transformation strategists, and industry innovators for a day of insightful discussions, networking, and recognition.

Organized by the Global CIO Forum in partnership with Global Enterprise Connect, the summit explored the future of leadership, innovation, resilience, and enterprise technology through four strategic pillars: Community, Knowledge, Health, and Human.

The event commenced with a Welcome Note by Chander Raina, President, Qatar Global CIO Forum, followed by the Opening Address by Anushree Dixit, Chief Strategy Officer, Global Enterprise Connect, setting the tone for an engaging day of collaboration and thought leadership.

Community

The first pillar focused on strengthening digital ecosystems through the panel discussion, “Breaking Silos: How CIOs Can Create Cross-Industry Value Networks.”

Moderated by Mohammad Saquib, Senior Network and Security Consultant, Government Entity, the session featured:

  • Vladimir Kanyshev, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), CQUR Bank LLC
  • Magdy Mansour, General Manager IT, Doha Cables
  • Khalid Lakdawala, Cyber Security Expert, Government Entity

The discussion highlighted the importance of shared innovation platforms, cyber intelligence sharing, collaborative innovation, and ecosystem leadership in accelerating digital transformation.

Knowledge

Following a networking lunch and interactive engagement session led by Chander Raina, discussions continued under the Knowledge pillar with the panel session, “The Next Wave: Agentic AI and Digital Twins.”

Moderated by Mubaraq Muhammad Tharamal, Head of Interconnection & NM (A), Communications Regulatory Authority, the panel featured:

The Health pillar focused on sustainability, wellbeing, and resilient workplaces through the panel discussion, “Technology for Wellbeing, Sustainability & Smart Workplaces.”

Moderated by Ozel Hurmuzlu, Head of Institutional Quality Management, Qatar University, the session featured:

The discussion examined employee wellbeing technologies, ESG reporting, sustainable IT operations, green data centres, and hybrid workforce strategies.

Adding further insights to the agenda, Michael Netterberg, Consulting System Engineer, HPE, delivered a presentation on Self-Driving Networks, highlighting the role of intelligent infrastructure in modern enterprise operations.

Human

The final pillar explored leadership, trust, and organizational culture through the panel discussion, “The Human-Centric CIO: Leading with Purpose, Trust and Influence.”

Moderated by Camelia Lavina Olteanu, Senior Vice President Group Operations Excellence, QNB Group, the session featured:
