World CIO 200 Summit 2026 Mumbai edition unites India’s CIO community

The World CIO 200 Summit 2026 – Mumbai Edition, held at ITC Maratha, Mumbai, on 5th August brought together leading CIOs, technology executives, and digital transformation experts for a day of meaningful conversations, strategic insights, and collaboration around the future of enterprise technology. As part of the global World CIO 200 Summit 2026 roadshow, the Mumbai edition reinforced the mission of building a connected CIO community focused on innovation, responsible leadership, and digital progress.

The summit commenced with the National Anthem, followed by the opening address from Richa Samantaray, Chief Commercial Officer, Global Enterprise Connect, who welcomed technology leaders and highlighted the importance of collective intelligence and global collaboration in shaping the digital future.

Under the Community pillar, Sundip Sibal, Executive Director, GEC Media Group, delivered an insightful session titled “The Future is Collaborative: Powering India’s Digital Future by Building the World’s Most Connected CIO Community.” The session emphasized the importance of stronger CIO networks, shared knowledge, and collaboration in accelerating digital transformation.

During the Partner’s Note, Rajeev Dutt, Managing Director MEA & APAC, Swiss GRC, shared perspectives on enabling secure, resilient, and compliant digital ecosystems for modern enterprises.

The Power Panel: “Collective Intelligence – How CIO Communities Accelerate Innovation and Digital Transformation” brought together industry leaders to discuss partnerships, shared innovation, and technology alignment. The session was moderated by Shabbir Badra, Vice President IT & Security, Apraava Energy, and featured Rishabh Kumar Jain, IT Head, Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd; Akanksha Garg, Data Protection Officer & Head Digital Products PMO, Confidential; Himanshu Soman, Director – Data, AI, Security & Technology Enablement, KPMG India; Pankaj Sharma, CIO, Hikal Limited; and Yogesh Rajawat, CISO and Head IT, Axium Global.

The Knowledge pillar focused on emerging technologies and future-ready innovation. Dr. Sayed Peerzade, Executive Vice President – Cloud, AI & Government Initiatives, Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), delivered a keynote on “AI, Data Sovereignty & The Next Knowledge Economy,” exploring enterprise AI adoption, analytics maturity, and responsible intelligence.

Following a high-value networking lunch, Alok Agrawal, Advisor (Airport Systems), Airports Authority of India, shared insights through his keynote on “Evolution of Smart and Futuristic Airport!”, highlighting the role of technology in transforming aviation experiences and infrastructure.

The Health pillar featured Nitin Jadhav, President & Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), YOTTA, who presented insights on Yotta AI Cloud and Sovereign Cloud, discussing the growing importance of secure, scalable, and sovereign digital infrastructure.

The panel discussion, “The Modern Technology Leader – Driving AI, Automation, and Enterprise Agility,” explored how technology leaders are leveraging AI, automation, and agile approaches to create business impact. Moderated by D Prashant Kurhade, General Manager – IT, Suhana Group, the panel featured Avinash Shinde, Head Automation Technology and CTO, Century Enka (Aditya Birla Group);  Satej Revankar, Chief Information Officer (CIO), FIAT India Automobiles; and Sapann Harish Talwar, Vice President – Digital, Technology & Cybersecurity, Essar.
