This page explains what the pledge site collects and why. It is operated by Global CIO Forum (Global Enterprise Connect). Contact: hq@globalcioforum.com.

If you sign in with LinkedIn

LinkedIn shares your name, your LinkedIn member ID and your profile photo with us. We use them to fill in your pledge card and, if you choose, to show you on the Wall of Leaders. We never post anything unless you press “Post to my LinkedIn”, and we post only the card and text you see on the page.

If our LinkedIn app has been approved for post analytics, we also keep an encrypted copy of your LinkedIn access token for up to 60 days after you post, only to read your pledge post’s impressions, reactions, comments and reshares for the campaign report. We never read your other posts or messages.

What we store

For each pledge: your name, job title, organisation, personal promise, pledge code, the card image, the photo shown on the card (if any), whether you chose to appear on the Wall of Leaders, the network size you chose to share (optional), a link to your LinkedIn post if you posted from this site, and which pledge link brought you here (if any).

To measure the campaign we also record anonymous page events (a visit, opening the card builder, downloading or sharing), linked to a random visitor ID stored in a cookie. These are used only in aggregate for the campaign report.

Who can see it

Your card image is visible to anyone with its link. The Wall of Leaders shows only pledges from people who signed in with LinkedIn and ticked “Show me on the Wall of Leaders”. Campaign reports are shared internally with the organisers and partners.

How long we keep it

Pledges are kept for the duration of the campaign and up to 12 months afterwards, then deleted.

Removing your pledge

Email hq@globalcioforum.com with your pledge code and we will remove your pledge from the wall and delete your data. To delete the LinkedIn post itself, remove it from LinkedIn.
