Siddharth (Sid) Deshpande is Director of Security Strategy for Akamai's Asia-Pacific and Japan region. In this role, he is responsible for engaging CISOs and the broader security community on security and risk management topics. Sid helps security leaders explore conversations around security strategy and architecture that address various dimensions of digital business and technology.

Sid joined Akamai in 2019. Prior to Akamai, Sid worked at Gartner for 9 years as Senior Director, Analyst - Security and Risk Management. In this global role he acted as a trusted advisor to the world's leading organizations around their security and risk management challenges During his 14+ years in the security industry, Sid has authored/led several high-profile research and advisory engagements with a focus on helping customers keep pace with the fast-changing nature of the cybersecurity market.
